Sean O'Driscoll watched his team put in an improved second half performance to take a point from Prenton Park and then was full of praise for a resurgent Warren Feeney. O'Driscoll said Saturday's scorer was working extremely hard for the team and becoming a much greater player because of it.

Not everything pleased the Cherries manager and Sean said, "The first half was the poorest we've played in a while. We battled well off the ball and competed for it. I thought on the ball we didn't work as well as we should have done. We can take for granted that our players will work off the ball because if you don't you're dead in English football."

"What we try to work on is how hard we can work with the ball and I didn't think our passing was poor it was non-existent! So we were disappointed with that at the break despite the fact we could have gone in a goal up. I said at half time if we're going to get beaten to do it playing to our strengths and going down all guns blazing. I thought they did just that in the second period and we made a real game of it."

Tranmere are on a good run at the moment and certainly not playing like a side nineteenth in the Division. The Cherries had the better of the second though and Sean added, "We took a chance, which you can do when a goal down. We kept it going for the full forty-five and I suppose the draw was the fair result."

Special praise was in line for Feeney, Stock and Buxton and Sean's pleased with the immense number of options available to him with his small but flexible squad. About Feeney Sean said, "He's come back and been a different player in the sense that he's worked for the team. He's not always done that and he's a far better player when he does. He's appreciated more by everybody when he plays like that and he's getting his just rewards."

"We tell him that if he works hard for the team, but doesn't get a goal then he's still worth his place. He's enjoying his football at the moment, working extremely hard and not letting his head drop when something doesn't go his way like that missed chance in the first half. He was a constant threat in the second half and could have scored a couple more. He's fitter than he was and his inclusion has made us a better side and that's the biggest compliment."

"I thought Brian was excellent and he was one sparkle from the first half. He was the one looking like creating something and Lewis slotted in like he'd never been away. We wanted to match them up with their five in midfield and Lewis being comfortable on the left hand side of a back three enabled us to do that."

"In a small squad if you can get players able to play in a variety of positions it's going to help immensely over a forty-six game season. To constantly get good results away from home it'll need to involve everyone doing their part on the day from the eleven on the field to the five on the bench."
