A second successive win for Bournemouth and both games began with different formations. Following the Sheffield Wednesday victory Sean O'Driscoll again stressed the need for his small squad to operate effectively as a flexible unit.

After the late goal Sean said, "There's a fine line between success and failure and we'd have come in disappointed had we drawn 0-0 and people may have said different things about the game. We kept plugging away, hit the woodwork four times and were pleased that once again at home we came up with a late goal."

"We've gone on a run of games without a defeat so it was important not to get beaten tonight. It's something everyone was conscious of, but the lads said they felt they'd get better and better and we had to be at our best to get anything out of the game."

Sheffield Wednesday offered a different type of opposition to Blackpool and Sean added, "They're a good side, Sheffield Wednesday, and they showed that tonight. There's a lot of differences between the two sides. They've hit rock bottom and are on the way back up again with crowds of twenty-five thousand at Hillsborough. We're finally getting the results our performances deserve and we just need to keep that going."

"They are a big strong powerful side and we played eleven players we thought were flexible if we needed to change anything tactically and that proved its worth from the training field. The team are quite comfortable in playing different ways and they'll have to do that throughout the season as with a small squad you have to be flexible rather than rely on bringing in different players."
