"If you don't shoot, you don't score" said Sean O'Driscoll after victory at Blackpool. Cherries have created a mass of chances this season and the philosophy worked against Blackpool. Sean also praised Purches and Moss for solid performances.

O'Driscoll said, "I'm delighted. We were disappointed to go 1-0 down and there was a lot of determination in the dressing room at half time and I'm glad not to be coming to a post-match press conference and being told what a great side we were, but lost 1-0."

"I thought we played well in both halves and controlled large parts of the game. They are a decent footballing side and were always going to have their own chances, but we dug in and did a good job. We could have done with killing it off earlier to save the nerves, but we deserved the points."

"There was a bit of indiscipline by Karl for the goal. He gave away the tackle and then kicked the ball away that means the ball was moved forward. It was ungentlemanly conduct and it allowed Steve Davis a shot at goal where an extra ten yards out might not have been so dangerous. That was all that really disappointed us in the first half. He's made up for his mistake by the winning goal that he's somehow claiming after its hit him on the back of the head!"

Stephen Purches set Cherries on their way with an early second half strike and Sean added, "He's our equal top scorer now, but if you don't shoot you don't score so nobody will have a go at someone at this club for taking a chance and missing it. We've been playing some great football and just been missing some cutting edge in games. We've not always got the points we've deserved so it was nice today that we managed to do that."

Neil Moss also played his part and looking forward from the Bristol City match Sean said about Moss and the general performance, "He got a bit of criticism from the Bristol City game for one or two things, but he's responded like the good goalkeeper he is and I thought he was outstanding today. He's distribution was excellent and we've also asked him to take control of the back four a little more, which I thought he did today superbly. It's great to see that his experience has shone through and long may it continue."

"The whole squad were disappointed with the reaction to the 0-0 draw against Bristol City. All they heard were negative comments when there was no more than a hair's breadth between the two sides. Bristol City are going to be one of the top sides in this division and Sheffield Wednesday are another side that will be challenging. I've seen them a few times and thought they were excellent. They have a lot of quality in the squad and it will be a very difficult game for us."
