It's not easy chopping and changing the team with such a small squad, but that is something that Sean O'Driscoll said he must think about in the coming weeks in a variety of areas. Steve Fletcher and Neil Young have both been dealt with carefully since their return from injury, two players are now on four bookings and Neil Moss returns to Southampton after the Shrewsbury game.

Sean O'DriscollBournemouth were the better side throughout the game and O'Driscoll said that Cardiff couldn't have any complaints about the result. In saying what pleased him about the performance, he said, "We could have done without extra time and Cardiff could afford to change their side around. We couldn't do that so the extra time was a bit of a blow especially seeing as we were one up and they scored from a free header just a minute later."

"Everything else was great though. I thought the attitude was first class, I thought we tried to play football and competed really well against a side that's not used to getting beat. I don't think Cardiff could have any complaints with the result. It was a bit flat in the first half, which is part of the course in this competition."

"You got the impression that a few minds weren't focused on the game, which is strange considering that a few of their lads were given a chance to impress. We tried to continue how we played on Saturday and it's about trying to reproduce what we've done well as well as explain the things that went wrong."

Jason Tindall and Warren Feeney both had a decent run out, which has been difficult for them with the lack of reserve games. O'Driscoll expressed that injuries weren't the only current worry with his team. He said, "It's been difficult with reserve games being postponed, but it's suspensions that are now the big worry."

"We've now got Marcus and Karl both on four bookings and it's a delicate one as we can't afford to have them both suspended in the same game and that's something we're going to have to consider."

James Hayter and Steve Fletcher were partnered up front for the fifth consecutive game, all unbeaten, and O'Driscoll spoke about considerations to change that around. Speaking first about Hayter's goal he said, "He deserved his goal and worked extremely hard. I had two other forwards on the bench and was thinking about giving someone a rest, but you look around and ask yourself who do you bring off? Everyone was performing and they're delighted with the win; it's a good scalp for us."

"To be fair I'd rather not have played Steve Fletcher. If I'd rested him along with Young and maybe brought one of the two keepers in you know the reaction we'd have got had we been beaten. On Monday his knee was a bit sore, but he's big enough to make his own decisions and he said he wanted to play although it was always the plan not to give him a full game."
