Sean O'DriscollSean O'Driscoll heaped praise on his players after the win at Exeter and insisted that their work since the start of pre-season has finally seen its just deserts. O'Driscoll said, "Their commitment, endeavour, honesty and hard work has been first class."

"It's been like that for an awful long time now and it's nice that has been rewarded especially as the pressure has been on. We had sixteen fit players today, no keeper on the bench and five forwards. If any of our defender's had been injured we'd have been struggling, but we all came through it."

He hopes the confidence levels can raise from the two wins as Bournemouth embark on a tough set of home fixtures. Brentford are once again flying high in the second division and both Bury and Rushden are currently sat above the Cherries. O'Driscoll said, "Football is a strange game and sometimes you don't get what you deserve, but we've deserved these wins for the work we've put in. We found out last year how wins breed confidence and hopefully they can get a bit of confidence from these two wins."

O'Driscoll gave his opinion of how the game progressed and gave credit to Exeter for their fight at the start of the second half, but admitted that the game was all but won after O'Connor's free kick against the then ten men of Exeter. He said, "It certainly wasn't a comfortable win from where I was standing. To be fair to Exeter I thought they kept plugging away and sometimes it doesn't run for them."

"The crowd got frustrated, the players got frustrated and today I thought the referee got frustrated. We've then hit them on the break and at 3-1 the game is dead. It was unfortunate for them how they lost Steve Flack as it gives them an option when nothing else is on and little things like that change games and for once it's gone our way."

Bournemouth have now managed two away victories to zero at home, but O'Driscoll doesn't believe that the team are preferring the away day games. He did however, point out a contrast to when teams go ahead at home and away. He said, "We think we could have won every home game we've played. Had we conceded a goal six minutes in at home it would have been very difficult."

"Exeter went for the second goal whereas that wouldn't have happened at home. There is room for improvement, but this side can go somewhere. We need to put right what went wrong last season and carry on with everything we've tried to do."
