Sean O'DriscollSean O'Driscoll came out of the dressing room at the end of the Oxford draw and stated how pleased he was with the effort put in by his team, particularly Danny Thomas and Alan Connell; both making their first starts of the season.  Connell ran his socks off for eighty minutes before having to come off through tiredness and Danny Thomas deservedly picked up the man of the match award.

Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll described the draw against Oxford as two points dropped and with the far superior shot count, possession and number of corners, who could blame him. O'Driscoll said, "In the circumstances you'll have to say it's two points dropped."

"They had one shot at goal which is part of the course for teams that play us, they only need one shot and score. We tried to play football and scored the goal and for whatever reason you want to call it we got punished. We stuck to our task and tackles did fly in and the two young boys that came in, Danny Thomas and Alan Connell, were excellent and from a team performance we're really pleased, just frustrated we couldn't turn one point into three."

Oxford scored within three minutes of the re-start and wary of the likely change of attitude from the visiting side, O'Driscoll explained the steps he made at half time to avoid that happening. He added, "I thought for all our pressure we weren't going to score, but we got the goal in difficult circumstances and they did everyone you could want them to do."

"Nobody got complacent at half time and everyone said the right things and everybody's focused on what we need to do. We tried to be prepared in case they brought on Omoyimni and had contingency plans to deal with that and they didn't make the change. Sometimes we panic and we let it slip and wobbled when they scored."
