Bond On Options - Both within and outside the squad

Cherries Manager Kevin Bond is happy with the competition for places that exists in certain areas of the squad although is frustrated with the lack of depth elsewhere.

Bond said the club joined the race to sign players at a late stage, but emphasised any available bodies would have already been added to the Cherries squad had he been able to do so.

The next test for the team is a trip to Port Vale where the lads will be hoping to repeat the success from last season in taking away three points from Vale Park.

Bond said, "We need to try and get a victory on the board and we'll be working hard to get one. It was a good win for us there last year and it'll be lovely to repeat it.

"In some positions we're light, but in others we do have options so there is competition for places within the squad. In terms of adding to the squad if the right person was available I would have taken them by now as we do need those options."
