Bond "It Should Have Been A Consolation" - Gaffer laments missed chances as Cherries sunk at the death
Here is what Kevin Bond had to say after the 1-0 defeat against Cheltenham Town at the weekend
"It was a ridiculous goal to concede. In all fairness it should have been a consolation goal for them. We had fifteen shots and hardly hit the target; we got into so many positions and couldn't make the most of it. We couldn't defend a set piece when it mattered and got beat on the strength of it.
"You can train for it all you like, but you can't re-create a match situation. We just need people to do their jobs. And we created tons of situations where we should have done better ourselves and didn't.
"I thought we played well today and had the majority of the ball. We were the side doing the pressing and should have made more of it. It's frustrating and disappointing and the lads all feel it too. We're being punished at crucial times and if we get out of trouble now it's going to be the hard way.
"We had words about it last week and we looked it, but I don't know what more you can do without wanting to make the players nervous. They know the importance of concentrating until the last kick of the game and they were unable to deal with it.
"Jo Tessem is a right good footballer. He's in good condition and I thought he showed a lot of composure. He showed a lot of ability and experience of the ball and rarely gave it away. I was pleased with the debut performance he put in."
