Bond Proud Of Forest Performance
Gaffer pleases with opening day point
Here are Manager Kevin Bond's post match comments as Cherries take a point from Nottingham Forest.
"I was proud of the lads. They gave it a real go today and thoroughly deserved the point. We were hanging on a bit late on, but you'd expect that. Last year we put in far too many half decent performances to concede a late goal. It was important that we didn't do that today and there were a lot of pleasing performances out there.
"I wasn't sure what to expect and it'll take a few games for them all to gel together. We've got some players who need matches still, but overall I was very pleased. They rallied round; there was a good spirit and good resolve. There were a lot of tired legs at the end, but they hung in well and got what they deserved.
"The back two did their jobs really well. They limited Forest's chances in the first half and we coped with them really well. And we had two chances of our own. Garreth O'Connor just got the ball on the wrong foot and their keeper made a great save from Josh.
"It would be wrong of me to pick out players as it was a really good team performance."
