Gaffer seeks for positives in 'good workout'

Cherries Manager Kevin Bond says his team can take heart from their performance against Premier League side Portsmouth last night.

Here is what he had to say about the game in the post-match press conference.

"As a workout we were made to work really hard. They've got an abundance of quality in their side. We looked safe in the first half and played better in the second half in terms of possession.

"We had decent possession and gave the ball away for three of their goals. We caused them one or two problems and thankfully won't be coming up against that quality every single week.

"We were reasonably solid and needed to get men behind the ball. Losing the ball as we did in the second half exposes us at the back and that hurt us in the second half. But overall it was a good night for us in preparation for our league season."
