Kuffour At The Ready - Jo back into the swing of pre-season

Last season's top scorer Jo Kuffour is back into the swing of pre-season training having successfully returned from a hernia operation in Germany.

Kuffour resumed training on Friday and has joined up with the rest of the squad for a week's training in Woodbury, Devon, this week. The striker trained on Sunday and this morning and will be assessed tomorrow before deciding whether he plays any part against Dorchester Town on Tuesday night.

Kuffour is expected to be fit enough to feature against Gillingham in the League Two opener at Dean Court on August 9th. However it may take him a short while to regain full match fitness due to missing a key part of pre-season work.

Midfielder Danny Hollands is due for an arthroscopy on Thursday. The operation on his left knee will repair a meniscus tear in his cartilage. The extent of the tear won't be known until the surgeon conducts the operation, but it is thought Danny will be out of action between four and six weeks.
