Walking Wounded - Players playing through pain barrier
Kevin Bond has given an update on the injury status of his squad with a number of the lads playing through knocks just to get eleven out onto the field.
As well as Mossy, Foley, Garry, Young and Anderton out of action, Bondy gave the following assessment of his squad's injury concerns:
"Physically the game might have taken quite a bit out of them, mentally I hope not too much and how we react to this set back will be important.
"Warren is very sore. I asked him how he felt before the match and he wanted to play so that was pleasing. Danny Hollands pulled up with a bit of a dead leg in the warm up so couldn't start with that and I wouldn't like to say if he'll be fit for the weekend.
"Brett Pitman came on late in the game already carrying a hamstring injury. It's difficult when I'm getting shouts of 'change it' when people have little idea what I'm dealing with. I need to protect my players as we can't afford further long term injuries.
"Russ Perrett has a bruised hip and Lee Bradbury has had stitches in his eye so we're going to have to nurse the players through the week and we'll see who is fit and ready to go on Saturday.
"Every single player is doing the best they can at the moment and I've got nothing but admiration for all of them."
