Cummings, Young & Gowling back in action

A number of players have missed friendlies with minor injuries. Steve Hard has given an update on where these players sit on the road to full fitness.

Warren Cummings returned to training today having missed a week due to a 'runner's knee' complaint. Cummings had been feeling pain down the outside of his upper leg and took a week off to prevent the problem escalating. Steve Hard said, "He was feeling it after sessions, but today he got through the session with no problems."

Neil Young had been resting an ankle niggle. He also returned to training today with no reaction. Steve Foley's rehabilitation to cure an ongoing back problem is continuing.

Garreth O'Connor strained his thigh on the first day training with the squad since arriving from Burnley. The Irishman has yet to sign any sort of deal with the club although is set to resume training on Monday.

Shaun Cooper began jogging today and it's just a case of breaking into his insoles before stepping up his training.

Josh Gowling took a knock to the head against Weymouth on Tuesday, but that injury has now cleared up. However Gowling's back stiffened up during the same game. Steve Hard said, "He trained today and the back felt a little stiff at the end. He's seeing a chiropractor again, but got through training ok."
