ADAM BARRETT unfortunately came off with a hamstring problem against Notts County last Saturday. The problems he had before were more muscle tightening, but he has now got quite a severe grade two tear high up in his hamstring. I have initially said he will be out for 10-12 weeks, but hopefully it could be less.
On Tuesday we had the reserve game at Torquay, and both SCOTT MALONE and SHAUN MacDONALD came through 45 minutes with no problems and have been training ready for Saturday.
DAN STRUGNELL has a small strain in his thigh, which he felt in training. We are now a week down the line and he is now ready to run, so hopefully he will be back in training next week.
MATHIEU BAUDRY has gone to see a sports physician I have used before for some advice. When you have a hamstring injury and come back, you are more likely to suffer a reccurence. Before the Forest Green game, he had been doing really well and we are now awaiting the outcome of the meeting to see if there are any answers to the questions that both myself and Mathieu have got.
JOE PARTINGTON is continuing his rehabilitation on schedule. SHAUN COOPER has had a jog, and hopefully now we can build him up over the next couple of weeks and then back in to training.
MARK MOLESLEY is doing work with Louis Langdown and at other times training. Next week he will join in with full training.
CHARLIE SHERINGHAM is due to see the surgeon on Tuesday to have his stitches removed, and then it's back in to the boot and we follow the same protocol, six weeks on crutches and six weeks walking.
NATHAN BYRNE had his surgery and has all his rehab here, while we have stayed in close contact with Tottenham. He has done well and returned to training sessions around Christmas time. The two recent reserve games were too early for him and he needs to continue training because he was out for four months. We will be looking for the next reserve game for him to have a game, but he is knocking on the door for selection.
