Francis and Hyndman at local soccer school

AFC Bournemouth duo Simon Francis and Emerson Hyndman recently went along to an Easter holiday soccer school run by the Community Sports Trust.

Sponsored by CMP Print, the day involved a number of small sided games for both boys and girls in the Bournemouth area.

And in the afternoon, the session was paused as Francis and Hyndman were introduced to the children, who were then given the opportunity to ask a series of questions to the players.

Accompanied by AFC Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher, the trio then presented awards for player of the day, before signing autographs and posing for a group photo on the pitch.

Following the afternoon, head of community Steve Cuss spoke about the event and the success of the soccer schools, as sponsored by CMP Print.

“Every single school holidays, we organise these soccer schools, which are kindly sponsored by CMP Print,” he began.

“It’s a special treat to have Simon Francis, Emerson Hyndman and Steve Fletcher watch the session today and answer a few questions. It’s been a great afternoon for everyone.

“With the rain this morning, we’re delighted that so many turned up.”

Additionally, Paul Dawe from CMP Print also shared his thoughts on the occasion.

“It’s absolutely fantastic and we’ve been involved with this for the past few seasons now.

“What I’ve noticed is the amount of people in Bournemouth kits because it used to be City, United and Liverpool.

“The kids get so much out of it and it’s great to be involved in something that puts back into the community.”
