The Easter football programme meant there were plenty of fixtures for AFC Bournemouth's loanees to make an impact in.

Here are how the loan contingent got on for their clubs across the weekend.

SAM SURRIDGE

Surridge was in clinical goalscoring form for the Glovers, as they stunned in-form Coventry City - beating them 6-2 at the Ricoh Arena.

The striker was only on the field for 16 minutes, but bagged a brace with a clever header and a superb finish with the outside of his boot, which flew into the top corner.

It was Coventry's biggest loss at home in almost 28 years and a memorable day for the Cherries frontman.

BEN WHITFIELD

Port Vale recorded their first win of 2018 on Good Friday, and midfielder Whitfield was the matchwinner.

In the 81st minute, Whitfield expertly controlled a long ball, drove into the area under pressure and arched a lovely finish into the far corner - a really important goal in Vale's season.

In the Bank Holiday Monday fixture, Whitfield played 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw away to Crewe.

BENIK AFOBE

Afobe played 63 mintues as Wolves earned a crucial win over Middlesbrough.

Away from home, Wolves were 2-1 winners and all but sealed promotion - moving 13 points clear above third place.

MAX GRADEL

Gradel played 90 minutes in Toulouse's 2-0 away defeat to Lyon in Ligue 1.

The Ivorian played in his usual left wing spot as two goals from Memphis Depay secured a win for the hosts.

LEWIS GRABBAN

Grabban played 90 minutes for Aston Villa, but couldn't find a crucial winner as Villa drew 0-0 away to Hull City.

He now has four goals in his last seven games for the Midlands side.

AARON RAMSDALE

Ramsdale played in Chesterfield's Good Friday defeat at Port Vale, conceding a goal to club mate Whitfield.

He did however make a number of good saves at Vale Park as he continues his progress.

RYAN ALLSOP

Allsop played in both of Lincoln City's Bank Holiday fixtures.

The first was a topsy-turvy 3-2 win over rivals Exeter City - before Allsop moved on to keep a valuable clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Carlisle.

Allsop played 90 minutes of both games in a solid Bank Holiday for the Imps.

WILL DENNIS / PAT O'FLAHERTY

Will Dennis kept a clean sheet as Weymouth were resounding 5-0 winners over Gosport.

He played 90 minutes while at the other end, Pat O'Flaherty was the goalkeeper.

SAM MATTHEWS

In a Bank Holiday Monday win over Aldershot, Matthews completed 90 minutes as Eastleigh were 2-0 winners away from home.

JOE QUIGLEY

Striker Quigley, fresh from his Republic of Ireland under-21s appearances, played 60 minutes for Boreham Wood against Barrow on Friday, before coming off the bench in the 90th minute of the 1-0 win over Wrexham on Monday.

Ollie Harfield was an unused sub for both games.
