The boss also said that Tommy Elphick is back in contention and that Max Gradel is making good progress.
"We’re as we were fitness wise apart from Lewis Grabban," Howe said.
"He’s had a groin strain, hence why missed out last week against Everton.
"There are decisions to make on Max Gradel, he’s worked really hard and he’s looked good. We haven’t seen a great deal of him on the training ground, but the physios and doctors have been pleased with his progress.
"The positive from last week was that Tommy Elphick came through unscathed for his first 90 minutes. Also, a number of players put themselves in the frame.
"Juan is in that bracket too, he looked very bright and lively. He faded slightly which is expected with the demands of this league which he’s still adapting too. But we’re pleased with how the squad is shaping up."
