Howe: 'We want to progress in the Emirates FA Cup, it's a massive game for us against Everton.'

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding team selection for the Emirates FA Cup tie against Everton.

Howe admitted that there may be some changes for the clash at Vitality Stadium but wouldn't go into specifics as the Cherries look to book their place in the quarter finals for the second time in the club's history.
"We'd love to progress," Howe said. "I'll leave the team selection as a surprise! I won't tell you, but there will be some changes, we've got a good squad.
"I expect an open game on Saturday. Both teams want to win and we all remember the last time they came here.
"Hopefully this time we can win, it's a big game for everyone at the club.
"The carrot is there as we've only ever reached the quarter finals once in our history."
It has been rumoured in the press this week that changes will be made to the format of the Emirates FA Cup, with suggestions that replays could be scrapped as well as weekend fixtures.
Howe believes that change may be good to 'reignite' the competition but they have to be done with the right motives in mind.
"I've been involved in many failed FA Cup campaigns here, but the dream was always there and it's no different now," Howe continued.
"I think the landscape of the tournament has changed. I think something might need to be done to reignite the cup.
"As I said, the competition has a different feel to it, particularly from the '70s and '80s.
"Hopefully if there are any changes they're done with the right things in mind for the competition."
