Eddie Howe has called for his players to look forwards and not backwards as they head into Saturday's Barclays Premier League match against Watford.

The Cherries have failed to record a victory in their past three outings, but Howe doesn't believe now is a time to overreact.

"We have to focus on the future," explained the AFC Bournemouth manager.

"We have four huge games coming up in our season, and I've shared this message with the players. It's all about the future for us now, there's no point looking back.

"We've had a good week of training. It's been slightly different because we've had different players fresh and available to train the whole week, so we've built up well for this game."

Opponents Watford challenged the Cherries for last season's Championship title, and Howe explained how impressed he has been with their start to life in the Barclays Premier League.

"We've had some really good battles with Watford down the years," he continued.

"We've enjoyed every tussle. They gave us a lesson when we first went into the Championship and that was a really good thing for us at the time - it made us grow from that point.

"They've done incredibly well this season, I've been really impressed with them. Their front two have kept going and carried their form on from the Championship into this league."
