Howe confirms AFC Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign Benik Afobe

Manager Eddie Howe has confirmed the club have agreed a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe.

Speaking in his post match press conference after the 2-1 victory over Birmingham City, Howe admitted he is hopeful that a deal with be concluded so the 22-year old is available for the game against West Ham United on Tuesday night.

"A deal has been agreed by us for Benik Afobe," Howe confirmed.

"There are still hurdles for us to overcome but we're hopeful it will be concluded in time for Tuesday night.

"He'll bring pace, strength, and hopefully goals. He's also a good player technically and we'll be excited to see him in a Bournemouth shirt if the deal gets completed."
