AFC Bournemouth have signed Ivory Coast international Max Gradel, subject to international clearance and Premier League approval, from St Etienne for an undisclosed fee.
Gradel returns to the Cherries seven years on from his last appearance for the club, where he spent two separate loan spells in the 2007/08 season.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract after passing a medical to become the seventh summer signing at Vitality Stadium.
During his stay from former parent club Leicester City, he worked with Eddie Howe, who was then part of Kevin Bond’s coaching staff.
The winger went on to play for Leeds United before moving to St Etienne in 2011. He helped the side finish fifth in Ligue 1 last term and subsequently qualify for the Europa League.
Gradel scored 17 goals in 23 starts in the 2014/15 season in one of his best campaigns to date.
