The match kicks off at 7:30pm at Vitality Stadium as AFC Bournemouth and Luton Town battle it out for the Youth Alliance Cup.
Under-18s coach Carl Fletcher sat down to talk to afcb.co.uk
about the test that faces his side in the shape of the Hatters.
"We've looked at them and we know they have good individuals as well as a good team ethic. We know that it will be a really tough game for us," explained Fletcher.
"With their first team being where they are in League Two their youth side is closer and the first-team coaches will be looking at their younger players and seeing if they will be able to play at a higher level.
"We'll have to prepare right and make sure we perform right. We say that for every game we play, be it a friendly or a cup final we're always looking for a performance.
"We know that if we can get the performance then there's every chance that the result will take care of itself."
The former Cherries and Wales international midfielder spoke about the DNA that runs through the club from senior to junior level.
"We try to play the same way as the first team," said Fletcher. "This club has always been built on a foundation of trying to play football and playing through the thirds - even back to when I was playing for the club.
"We play at a high tempo, work hard for one another and pass the ball. The lads are learning on a daily and weekly basis and it's all good experience for them and the progress the make in their careers.
"This one's a cup final and it's important for us to win but also to try and win the right way. It will be a great place for the players to play and they're all really looking forward to it."
