AFC Bournemouth will be without Benik Afobe for the weekend’s Premier League visit of Stoke City to Vitality Stadium.
Afobe hobbled from the field of play during the Cherries’ recent victory at Sunderland.
And in his pre-match press conference manager Eddie Howe confirmed his striker’s absence this weekend.
“Benik will definitely miss out,” Howe said. “I can’t say right now if he’ll play again this season because we don’t know at this stage. It’s one we’re going to have to wait and see on.
“The other players were still without are Dan Gosling, Andrew Surman and Jack Wilshere. Those are all still missing.”
Lys Mousset, who took to the field in place of Afobe at Sunderland, could be in line to make his first Premier League start after eight previous appearances from the bench.
There could also be a second consecutive start in the midfield engine room for Lewis Cook in Gosling’s continued absence.
Callum Wilson, Adam Federici and Rhoys Wiggins all remain long-term absentees with respective knee injuries.
