Simon Francis: It's a big win for us against Swansea City, it's criminal that it's our first back-to-back wins

The skipper is delighted at back-to-back Premier League wins

AFC Bournemouth captain Simon Francis believes the 2-0 win over Swansea City is a ‘massive’ result.

It’s the first time the Cherries have recorded back-to-back wins this season – something which the skipper feels is a big step forward for the side.

"Without a doubt it’s a massive result to get back-to-back wins," Francis said.

"It’s the first time this season and it’s criminal we haven’t done it sooner to be honest.

"Maybe we’ve taken our foot off the gas after a big win but it’s been an important run, starting at Manchester United and it’s a big win for us tonight."

Francis added: "It’s good to be back in the team, I’ve had a bit of an up and down season due to injuries and suspensions.

"But it’s great to get a couple of consecutive games and some results, the team takes the plaudits.

"We’ve only kept seven clean sheets this season which is disappointing, we worked so hard in pre-season to defend better and if we keep clean sheets we know we will win games.

"We’ve got the quality in attack so hopefully some more clean sheets can yield some more results."
