Loan watch: Emerson Hyndman on form as Rangers progress in Scottish Cup

Emerson Hyndman was one of a host of on-loan AFC Bournemouth players in action over the weekend

Emerson Hyndman continued his impressive recent form with Rangers as they beat Greenock Morton in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

The visitors stunned Ibrox by taking an early lead but soon levelled via the likely goal source of striker Kenny Miller. Before half time Hyndman's delicate turn and bending 21-yard effort crashed back off the cross bar.

Into the second half and the American was again in the thick of the action, providing the assist for Martyn Waghorn on the hour mark in what turned out to be the match winner.

Lewis Grabban was used as a half-time substitute for Reading in the Championship, but was unable to get his name on the score sheet as the Royals played out a goal-less draw at home to Barnsley.

There was late disappointment for Cherries duo Ben Whitfield and Matt Butcher at Yeovil Town as Leyton Orient grabbed a 88th-minute leveller in the 1-1 Sky Bet League Two clash at Huish Park.

Whitfield played the full 90 minutes for the Glovers, while Butcher was an unused substitute, the result leaving Yeovil in 16th place in the table.

Sam Matthews started in midfield and played the full match for Eastliegh away at Guiseley in the National League, the teams ending the match with a 1-1 draw, while Callum Buckley played 90 minutes in Aldershot's 2-2 draw with Barrow.
