AFC Bournemouth
John played for the Cherries between January 1974 and August 1975, scoring four goals for the club in 22 league games.
The frontman also played for Poole Town and after his playing career, John and his wife ran Lakewood News in Highcliffe for 35 years.
John passed away aged 71 and his family will be holding a private funeral with donations going to Macmillan Caring Locally.
