Boasting just 330 members in 2009, the club has worked hard to provide more benefits for its members, doubling the numbers the following season, before reaching a new record 1000 in 2011.
And there has never been a better time to become a member after the Cherries slashed the price of membership for the rest of the season from £6 to just £3, as general manager Liz Finney explained.
"As a club that is proud of its family reputation, we are always looking for more ways to engage with our young supporters as they are our potential fans of the future.
"Being a Junior Cherry brings with it a host of real benefits and, with the membership now halved, it makes sense for under 16s to sign up."
There are many benefits to becoming a Junior Cherry.
Not only are ticket prices reduced, starting at only £5 (67% saving on under 16 tickets), but two adults plus two over eight Junior Cherries can watch for just £42 in total while under eights enter free of charge to all home League games.
Members also get special discounts on tickets, in the club store and on places at AFC Bournemouth soccer schools, as well as the chance to attend events with players.
On top of all that two Junior Cherries members are chosen at random to be mascots at home games. The package includes visiting the changing rooms before kick-off to have your photo taken with your favourite player, and then leading the teams out on to the pitch.
And if that wasn't enough all under eight Junior Cherries receive a Cherries shirt on their eighth birthday.
