Paul Groves’ side slipped to their second loss of the season at the County Ground, and after the final whistle, Addison reiterated his belief that they could enjoy a successful campaign.
“We feel like we have let each other down. We have let the supporters, the manager and, most importantly, we have let the town of Bournemouth down,” he told BBC Radio Solent.
“We didn’t stick to the game plan the manager set for us and a few players played as individuals, and that wasn’t the team I signed for in pre-season.
“I don’t think anyone put in a performance that would have been acceptable for the manager, but we’ve got to get together on Monday, look over the video and get back to what we know we can do.
“We are ten games in, we have only lost two of them, and the expectations we had at the start of the season are still there. We know we can turn it around.
“I believe in this squad and I know its good enough, the manager has faith in us, the chairman has faith in us and we know we can move forward.”
