AFC Bournemouth are getting into the Olympic spirit by offering football sessions to German exchange students.
Over 250 students are already involved in the scheme which allows them to learn the English language, play football and make friends at the same time.
AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust has joined up with local language school Europartner to run courses this summer which are targeting German exchange students.
Youngsters stay with English host families for two weeks at a time, and participate in English lessons in the mornings and football sessions in the evenings.
The course lasts for a ten week period until early September and students are given a tour of the stadium and attend a home game as part of the course.
Head of Community Steve Cuss said, "We are delighted to be working with Europartner for our sixth summer season as it has been so successful.
"The programme continues to attract a large number of students who are keen to visit Bournemouth and enjoy the football sessions with the club."
