Wilson: You dream about moments like that - that's what you work hard throughout your rehab for

The Cherries striker flicked in Adam Smith's low cross on 78 minutes to win all three points and net his first Premier League goal since September 2015.

"It meant everything," explained Wilson.

"It's been almost a year now since I scored, so it just puts everything in the past really and I am just glad to get the three points for the team.

"It's been a long road. Anyone that gets a setback like that will know it's hard to come back.

"You just wait for moments like that, to get the winner. They are the sort of things you dream about and work hard throughout your rehab for."

Wilson was sidelined for the majority of last season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against Stoke on the 26th September.

However, despite the cruel injury, the striker explained that he was always confident he would return to his previous performance levels.

"You never doubt yourself," continued Wilson.

"You are just wondering when the goals will come. Today I felt probably the sharpest I've felt since the injury.

"Obviously it's taken four games into the season to get going, but hopefully that's the start now and they can begin flowing in."
