Ridgeway BMW continue long-standing relationship with AFC Bournemouth with new eco-friendly car

Written by afcb.co.uk

The club’s official motor supplier have provided the Cherries with an all-electric BMW i3 - which generates zero emissions - making it a more environmentally friendly car.

The car forms part of the Green Goals project which also runs in partnership with the football club, which aims to make Bournemouth a cleaner, safer and more environmentally friendly place for people to work, live and visit.

The eco car will be used by the club’s commercial department so staff can travel to appointments and events using a greener mode of transport.

AFC Bournemouth’s commercial director Rob Mitchell said, "AFC Bournemouth continues to show its commitment to the environment and local community and we’re looking forward to using the new BMW i3 as a more environmentally friendly way for us to commute.

"We would like to thank Ridgeway BMW and Mini for their support as we continue to promote a healthier environment within the region."

Darren Chatterley, head of business for Ridgeway BMW & MINI added, "We’re delighted to be once again supporting AFC Bournemouth during the 2016/17 season and thrilled they are using the all-electric BMW i3 to drive there Green Goals campaign.

"We can’t wait to see it on the road and we look forward to a second successful season in the Premier League in partnership with the club."
