King: It's tough when you concede a 90th minute goal

After King had given the Cherries the lead in the first half, Eagles defender Scott Dann headed in a last minute equaliser after some heroic defending from Eddie Howe's men had kept the hosts at bay.

The 25-year-old said, "I thought we did well in the first half.

"We had a lot of the ball and created a couple of chances. But in the second half they were a bit unlucky.

"They had a lot of chances, some that were cleared off the line, but of course it’s tough when you concede a goal in the 90th minute.

"We had been defending and grinding for 45 minutes and then they got one in the last minute."

The Norwegian international notched his first of the season after ten minutes, when Harry Arter flicked a ball into the striker's path and he expertly volleyed off the post and in.

King was happy with the strike, but would've preferred the three points at Selhurst Park.

"It’s good to get my first goal of the season," he continued.

"I took it well. I just hit it and it went into the far corner, so I am happy with that.

"Obviously you are always going to look back and think that we could have picked up another goal, but the game has gone now and we have to make do with one point."
