Howe: Jack Wilshere has settled in very well - he has given the whole place a lift

The England midfielder joined on a season-long loan from Arsenal on deadline day and has already made a noticeable difference in training.

"Jack has settled in very well," started Howe.

"He's settled into the changing room and the dynamics of the group seamlessly.

"He has been very bright and good in training. As you would expect his quality on the ball is obvious and his technical ability is of a very high level.

"We'll wait and see what my team selection is, but I think he has naturally given the place a lift. There's been a positive impact around the squad."

Howe will test his wits against Tony Pulis's West Bromwich Albion side at Vitality Stadium on the weekend.

And the Cherries boss was keen to reveal the impact his former manager has had on his career.

"I have a huge respect for Tony Pulis," he continued.

"He was so involved in the whole club when he was manager here, all the way down to the academy. You could really feel his presence around the whole club.

"He's a big football man. It's his biggest passion and you can see that just in talking to him. I certainly owe a lot for my playing and managerial career to what I learned from him.

"What I do know about Tony Pulis is that his teams are very hard to beat, so we will have a challenge on our hands on Saturday."
