Fraser: I will keep doing my best and aim to take my opportunities when they come

The Cherries’ international contingent have travelled to their camps, with ten players leaving the south coast to play for their countries.

Fraser believes the squad that haven’t left to join up with their teams will be working hard to maintain and boost their fitness ahead of the Christmas period.

"The gaffer’s international breaks are full of running!" the Scot said.

"We’ll be running around the track, doing the lot – it will be hard work as ever and that will be good for us.

"We hope the lads that have travelled and get games stay fit and build confidence in their internationals.

"I don't think of it too much of a Scotland call up at this moment in time, when I was at Ipswich I thought I maybe deserved one didn't get one, that’s football. My focus is on getting in the team at Bournemouth and the opportunities may come my way."

Fraser has made his Premier League debut this campaign, when he started at the Olympic Stadium against West Ham United back in August.

The 22-year-old has made six appearances this season and is aiming to take his opportunities when they are presented.

He continued: "I’m doing all I can to get in the team. I think I need to score or get an assist, something like that to get me going.

"I will keep doing my best and aim to take my opportunities when they arise. The team are doing OK, we’re better off than last season and we need to believe in ourselves, stick by each other, and aim to go as high as we can."
