Tokelo Rantie was on the scoresheet as the Cherries shared a point in a 1-1 draw with Burnley.
Rantie, who scored his first goal for the club in the reverse fixture in November, opened the scoring when he headed home from Ian Harte’s corner.
But Clarets substitute Keith Treacy smashed home an equaliser from close range in the 67th minute to level the scores.
The Cherries finished the game the stronger of the two teams and goalkeeper Tom Heaton made important saves to deny Lewis Grabban and Tommy Elphick.
Eddie Howe’s team were then awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area ten minutes from time, which Yann Kermorgant guided narrowly over the bar.
There was one final chance as a low cross reached Simon Francis, who saw his effort clip the woodwork.
The visit of the Championship’s second placed side saw the Cherries match their opponents with a 4-4-2 formation, which meant Rantie replaced Andrew Surman in the starting line-up.
The opening 20 minutes produced little in the way of clear cut chances, but Heaton was called into action, blocking Francis’ strike from distance.
A couple of miscued efforts from Matt Ritchie and Grabban was about as close as either side came to opening the scoring in an even first half.
However, there was some bad news for the home side just moments before the break as the injured Eunan O’Kane was replaced by Shaun MacDonald.
The Cherries’ fortunes soon took a turn for the better though as Rantie guided Harte’s inswinging corner past Heaton just six minutes into the second half.
But the two sides were back on level terms in the 67th minute as substitutes Ross Wallace and Treacy combined to find an equaliser for the Clarets.
Neither team seemed content with a point and Heaton was forced to make a double save from Grabban and Elphick as the hosts piled on the pressure.
It appeared there could be some late drama as referee Graham Scott gave the Cherries a free-kick in a promising position heading into the closing stages, but Kermorgant’s attempt narrowly cleared the woodwork.
Francis, who turns 29 tomorrow, hit the crossbar just moments later with a powerful drive, but it wasn't enough to give the hosts a deserved win.
